Mindarie Marina
Bite Compass is showing a low fish activity bite score on 31 Mar 2026. Wind is around S at 16 km/h. Solunar feeding windows are listed below.
Mindarie is a smaller marina north of Hillarys that fishes better than its size suggests. The rock walls hold squid and herring, and the entrance channel gets genuine flow on the tide change. It's less crowded than Hillarys and a solid fallback when conditions are rough on the open coast.
Work the entrance channel during tide changes — this is where flow concentrates bait and fish follow. The inside walls are better for squid at night, especially where weed growth provides cover. Keep lures and baits tight to the rock structure.
Herring, skippy, squid (particularly over weed patches at night), tailor around the entrance, and bream along the walls.
Quieter than other metro marinas, which is part of the appeal. Fish the sheltered side when wind is up. Watch for boat wash from vessels entering the channel — it can snap light leaders if you're not paying attention.
