Bite Compass Premium

Every Species. The Whole Map.

Bite Compass is free to use. Forecasts, tides, your catch log and the map's wind, wave and tide layers are free, and they'll always stay free. Premium gives every fish you chase its own bite times, not just one, and adds the map layers that show where the water's worth fishing, with no ads. It also pays for what's next on the roadmap.

How to Fish It

This is family-level guidance for several leatherjacket species. Start with daylight around structure and identify the local fish; use the actual fishing location.

Why This Window

Daytime feeder, quiet after dark; tide makes little difference. Comfortable in 12–24 °C water.

Based on its feeding habits and the moon, plus time of day and forecast wind.

How to Fish It

Look for schools in daylight and at change of light. The local migration season describes possible arrival; a favourable time cannot establish that salmon are present.

Why This Window

Follows the usual dawn and dusk bite. Comfortable in 12–25 °C water, hunts stirred water.

Based on its feeding habits and the moon, plus time of day, forecast wind, and forecast tide.

How to Fish It

Use marine seagrass and sand edges. Low light and night are useful, but daytime squidding remains worthwhile. Water clarity and jig depth matter; the local peak season is not a feeding cutoff.

Why This Window

Night feeder with some daytime feeding; feeds on moving water, best on the high. Comfortable in 11–23 °C water, prefers settled water.

Based on its feeding habits and the moon, plus time of day, forecast wind, and forecast tide.
