What fish can you catch at Woy Woy Channel?

Dusky flathead and yellowfin bream are the year-round bread-and-butter, sand whiting work the flats through the warmer months, and mulloway (jewfish) are the prize around the bridges and deep holes. Luderick come on through the cooler months, and there's silver trevally, leatherjacket and the odd winter snapper as bycatch. Where can you fish Woy Woy Channel from the land?

Woy Woy Lions Park on North Burge Road is the main base, with parking, toilets, a fish-cleaning table and boat ramps on the channel edge. The Woy Woy Town Centre Wharf has a council-built fishing area on the boardwalk at the corner of The Boulevarde and Brisbane Water Drive. The passenger and cargo wharves on The Boulevarde and Correa Bay Reserve both give flat, sealed access close to the deeper water.

After dark on a run-out tide around the bridges, in Paddy's Channel, or at the deep holes near the Rip Bridge.
