When does the Moore River sandbar open?

Typically after heavy winter rain when river flow exceeds beach buildup — usually June through September. Outside the open window, the river sits as a long lagoon. Bar state dictates the fishery: closed for upstream bream, open for mouth tailor and mulloway.

Where do I fish for bream at Guilderton?

The river itself, upstream from the bar — work timber snags, rock walls and deeper holes with small hardbodies or soft plastics.
